Jose “Tito” Rodríguez
José “Tito” Rodríguez is a bullpen coach for the Athenians of Manatí in the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (Lbprc). From 2011-2013 Tito coached the USA Under-17 team in the Florida area.
Tito has been linked to youth baseball in the state of Florida for the past 19 years. Tito just entered his first year of coaching with the Keys Gate Chartered High School baseball team in Homestead, Florida. Prior to that he worked for Saint Brendan Private School in Miami where he was an assistant coach for 1 year, and a head coach for 6 years. Tito started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale for 6 years.
In 2015, Tito established TR Baseball an organization he owns and coaches that constantly travels to compete with players between the ages of 13-18. Tito is very passionate about coaching in youth baseball and has helped many players make it to the professional level or NCAA D1 level.
Tito closely witnessed the fruitful career of his brother and Hall of Fame member, Iván "Pudge" Rodríguez, whom he accompanied and helped coach and mentor throughout his 21 seasons in the MLB.
