Tom House

Tom House is considered by many to be the “father of modern pitching mechanics.” He is the founder of The Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute (RDRBI) and National Pitching Tom House Sports LLC. The RDRBI and Tom are renowned for their health and performance research and development involving three-dimensional analysis of human movement, physical preparation and training to support rotational athletes in movement, identifying the metabolic requirements of proper nutrition to fuel human activity, and mentoring athletes’ competition with mental/emotional management skills.

Tom pitched at the professional level from 1967 to 1979 for the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and Seattle Mariners. He coached from 1980 to 1997 for the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, and Chiba Lotte Marines (Japan), as well as in Latin America. On the amateur level, Tom is an information and instruction coordinator for numerous baseball academies across the United States and Canada. He directly accesses thousands of players, coaches, and parents per year in clinic settings and travels the world as an international consultant, performance analyst, and sports psychologist. He is also an advisor with the American Sports Medicine Institute, the Titleist Performance Institute, and he has given seminars for the American College of Sports Medicine.

Tom works with all rotational athletes including Pitchers, Hitters, Quarterbacks, Golfers, and Tennis players.

Robert Ambrose

Robert has been involved with National Pitching for many years— first as a coach, then regional director and Master Pitching, Hitting, Quarterback and Golf Instructor in the southeast region. Robert is part of the National Pitching management team as vice president of technology where he helps to lead the organization in the area of research and technology development to refine training protocols and tools for the benefit of all coaches, and the rotational athletes that we train.

Working closely with Tom House to perform research, he has developed the proprietary testing program used to train NPA athletes, and has automated many of the training protocols that we use daily to train athletes from youth to professional athletes.

Randy Wishmeyer

Randy has worked closely with Tom House for 18 of his 28 years as a coach, helping pitchers and QBs improve their strength and skills both as individual players and team members.

Randy is an elite strength and conditioning coach, and has helped numerous NFL, MLB, PGA and pro volleyball players increase their fitness and improve their performance. His training has directly resulted in athletes succeeding at the highest levels of competition. His detailed understanding of how the human body performs has been instrumental in formulating the strength and conditioning protocols that are now being used by elite athletes throughout the world. Randy focuses heavily on strength/conditioning, bio-mechanics, nutrition and mental/emotional preparation.

Randy strongly believes that the science-based research that he provides to athletes is the driving force behind his mission to better inform, instruct and inspire players to raise their level of play, stay healthy, and enjoy playing longer.
